교장 인사말Principal’s Address

안녕하세요. 올 겨울은 별로 춥지 않아서 마음도 좀 여유로워지는 것 같습니다.

Hello. I am so happy to have these mild winter days.

9월에 개학한 이후10월에 학부모 참관수업 그리고11월에 학부모/성인반 학생 면담이 있었습니다. 이 모든 행사들이 학부모님들의 한글학교에 대한 관심을 높이고 각 반 수업의 질을 높이는데 기여한 아주 중요한 행사였다고 봅니다.

The School had an open class day in October for parents to observe their children’s performance in their class. In November, the parents and adult students had a meeting with the teachers and exchanged their ideas and information on the class performance. Both events were very important in enhancing parents’ interest in the School and the quality of class.

이 자리를 빌어 이번 첫 학기를 정산해 봅니다. 지금 현재 특활반만 듣는 학생까지 포함하여 총 92명의 학생들이 열정적이고 능력있는 선생님들과 함께 어린이반 8반, 성인반 3반, 그리고 특활반 8반에서 열심히 공부하고 있습니다. 오늘 1차 평가를 통하여 학생들이 그 동안의 수업 성과를 되돌아보는 기회를 가졌습니다.

Here are some outcomes of the first term. We currently have a total of 92 students, including those taking only an activity class. Our enthusiastic and competent teachers are dedicated to creating a better environment for teaching 8 children’s and 3 adults’ classes as well as 8 activity classes. Students could reflect their class performance through the first test today.

그리고 총 55명의 자원봉사자들이 수고해 줘서 얼마나 많은 도움이 되는 지 모르겠습니다. 1학기동안 열심히 공부한 학생들과 수고한 자원봉사자들 그리고 선생님들을 위해서 뜨거운 박수 부탁드립니다.

In addition, a total of 55 volunteers have been helping students, making each class more fun. Let’s give a heartfelt applause to all students, volunteers, and teachers for their dedication to learning and teaching the Korean language and culture.

한글학교 이사회도 많이 도와주시고 다른 한인 단체들과 교민 여러분도 한글학교에 관심과 협조를 아끼지 않고 있습니다.

The School Board, as well as other Korean community members, have continuously shown their interest and support.

특히 학부형들의 열정과 관심덕분에 학생들과 자원봉사자들이 즐거운 학교 생활을 할 수 있습니다. 매일 아침 학교와 집 사이를 오가며 수고해주시는 학부형들께 뜨거운 박수 부탁드립니다.

Special appreciation goes to the parents, whose passion and interest make it possible for students and volunteers to enjoy the school life. I would like to give a big applause to the parents, who gave their children a ride every Saturday. 

마지막으로 오늘 간식과 음료를 제공해주신Old Dutch, Frito Lay, and Coke Cola 회사에 진심으로 감사의 말씀드립니다.

Last, but not least, the School community extends its sincere gratitude and appreciation to Old Dutch, Frito Lay, and Coke Cola, who have generously donated chips and cokes for this event.

앞으로 삼주간의 방학동안 재충전해서 내년 1월 9일에 모두 꼭 다시 보기를 바랍니다.

I am looking forward to seeing you all again on January 9 after relaxing and peaceful holidays.
